As a registered nurse, I come across people daily with no insurance, dental or medical. The consequences for not having any insurance is great. I cared for a lady yesterday that needed a heart valve replaced because she had dental cavities that were not cared for. The patient stated that she didn’t have any money for the expensive premiums.
Last week a report came out of Connecticut stating that 3 people every week die because of lack of health coverage. We live in the wealthiest country in the world and people are dying of no insurance.
